About The Position

At Darling Consulting Group (DCG), the Associate Data Analyst supports the Data Operations team in delivering high-quality, timely data to DCG’s analytics products and services. The role is suited to someone eager to learn DCG’s business, contribute to existing data processes, and help shape future data and analytics workflows, including learning to use approved AI tools effectively. The position works with flat-file data from hundreds of financial institutions, validates and analyzes outputs for DCG’s analytics software, and helps maintain data quality and standards. It also provides support for client-facing and internal data inquiries, coordinates communications about data updates and changes, collaborates on operational and client-experience improvements, and contributes to process improvement and documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Eagerness to learn banking and credit union data and DCG’s analytics products.
Foundational knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Effective time management and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
Curiosity and openness toward AI, with an interest in actively learning to use approved AI tools effectively.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Python, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
Knowledge of ALM, financial modeling, or financial analysis.

Responsibilities

Support existing data pipelines and work with a wide variety of flat-file data formats from financial institutions.
Validate and analyze data outputs for DCG’s analytics software, identifying and remediating data quality issues and gaps.
Maintain and document DCG’s data quality.
Ensure workflows and data standards are consistently followed.
Support client-facing and internal data-related inquiries.
Coordinate client communications related to data updates and changes.
Collaborate with peers and leadership to identify opportunities to improve client experience and operational efficiency.
Learn from senior teammates and share knowledge with the team.
Contribute to the design, documentation, and implementation of process improvements.
Learn and apply approved AI tools to data validation, analysis, and documentation, with guidance from senior teammates.
