About The Position

The Aspen Group (TAG) is a leading retail healthcare business support organization in the U.S., supporting thousands of healthcare professionals and offices across various categories like dental care, urgent care, medical aesthetics, and animal health. TAG partners with independent practice owners to improve healthcare experiences. They provide centralized business support services for brands such as Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, WellNow Urgent Care, Chapter Aesthetic Studio, and Lovet Pet Health Care. The Associate Creative Director (Copy) is a key role responsible for transforming insights into compelling language that drives action. This position will define and enhance the Aspen Dental brand voice, creating strategic and emotional content across all media. The role involves leading a team of writers, hands-on concepting and writing, and ensuring brand consistency. Additionally, the role will explore and implement AI-powered tools to improve creative development and content production while maintaining high standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Advertising, English, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience.)
10+ years of experience in copywriting for integrated campaigns in agency or in-house settings.
Strong CRM/email marketing background.
Experience working with art directors, designers, strategists, and production partners.
Portfolio demonstrating conceptual range, brand storytelling, and creative versatility across channels.
Strong command of tone, structure, and rhythm in both long- and short-form copy.
Skilled presenter who can articulate creative rationale with conviction and clarity.
Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to support content development, creative ideation, workflow optimization, or scaled content production.
Advanced Figma experience required.
Demonstrated curiosity about emerging technologies and a willingness to experiment with new approaches that enhance creative effectiveness.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience mentoring or managing writers preferred.
Experience with Adobe and Workfront preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 copywriters, providing clear direction, thoughtful feedback, and ongoing development.
Foster a culture of creative excellence through coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and career development.
Oversee and elevate copy across projects, ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and messaging quality.
Establish and uphold creative standards for storytelling, messaging, and copy craft across all customer touchpoints, starting with CRM.
Lead development of ideas that connect creative strategy with emotional storytelling, shaping brand experiences that resonate.
Guide messaging across integrated campaigns, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and impact.
Translate business objectives and customer insights into breakthrough creative platforms, campaigns, and messaging frameworks.
Write compelling, on-brand copy across a wide range of deliverables, from 360° campaigns to headlines, scripts, and long-form content.
Simplify complex messaging into clean, compelling email copy.
Remain hands-on in the work, contributing to concept development and execution alongside the team.
Champion and evolve Aspen Dental's tone and personality, ensuring it remains authentic, consistent, and contemporary.
Create customer journey messaging for different audience segments.
Serve as a steward of Aspen Dental's brand voice, ensuring consistency across campaigns, channels, and customer experiences while evolving messaging to meet changing business and consumer needs.
Partner closely with art directors, designers, producers, marketers, and business stakeholders to develop integrated creative solutions that drive brand and business outcomes.
Align creative output with broader business and marketing objectives.
Explore, evaluate, and integrate AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to enhance ideation, content creation, and creative workflows.
Identify opportunities to scale content production and improve team efficiency while preserving creative quality and brand standards.
Partner with creative and marketing leadership to establish best practices for responsible and effective AI use within the creative process.
Communicate ideas with confidence and clarity, presenting work that is grounded in insight and crafted with precision.
Present creative concepts and strategic rationale to senior leaders, building alignment and advocacy across cross-functional teams.
