About The Position

The Associate Director, Corporate Development is responsible for evaluating, executing, and supporting strategic growth initiatives that advance the company's business objectives. This role leads financial analysis and business case development for mergers and acquisitions, licensing transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and other corporate development opportunities. The Associate Director drives due diligence efforts, coordinates cross-functional stakeholders, manages external partners, and supports transaction execution from opportunity assessment through integration. Working closely with Finance, Legal, Commercial, R&D, and Executive Leadership teams, this individual helps identify, assess, and realize value from strategic transactions while contributing to corporate growth, capital planning, and post-deal business performance. This role will report to the SVP, Chief Corporate Development Officer and partner across functional areas to support the company's strategy for inorganic growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) - Required
  • 5 years or more experience in Investment Banking, Consulting, or Corporate Development focused on health care transactions - Required
  • 5 years or more experience supporting M&A and/or licensing transactions in the pharmaceutical industry - Preferred

  • Master Degree (MS/MA) Finance - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality financial analysis and valuation modeling of M&A, in-licensing/out-licensing, joint ventures, and strategic alliances, including whole-company transactions and individual product licensing opportunities.
  • Lead due diligence activities both internally and externally by managing timelines, meetings, reports/deliverables, etc., and by interacting with investment banks and external parties.
  • Serve as a primary interface between Corporate Development and other areas, including Finance, to support post-deal analysis, capital raises, SEC filings, etc., and Supply Chain to support product transitions and launches.
  • Play a key role in supporting the integration of acquisitions by working with functional leads at Amneal and the acquired company.
  • Lead select transactions or support aspects of complex transactions.
  • Frequent travel to visit offices, industry conferences, and counterparties.
