About The Position

Schneider Electric has a hybrid (2- 3 days a week from the office) opportunity for an Associate Controller to be based in the following locations: Nashville, TN, Boston, MA, or Westmont, IL. At Schneider Electric, finance isn’t a back-office function. It’s a business enabler. We’re looking for a sharp, driven Associate Controller who thrives at the intersection of accounting rigor, process transformation, and digital finance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Must have a CPA or CPA candidature (track) or MBA
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting and/or in complex industrial/manufacturing environments. Experience across both is a strong asset but not required
  • Strong technical and analytical foundation
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive work style

Nice To Haves

  • ERP system experience (Oracle, SAP, HFM, etc.)
  • 5 or more years of accounting experience in global or matrixed environments
  • Interest in systems, process improvement, and data

Responsibilities

  • Participate in month-end, mid-year, and year-end close cycles including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages (HFM) and analyze balance sheet and P&L variances, partnering with various business partners to explain what’s really driving the numbers
  • Review and own key account reconciliations while working across teams to validate balances and ensure audit readiness
  • Investigate and resolve intercompany transactions and help optimize global flows
  • Support internal and external audit processes with schedules, analysis, and documentation
  • Get the opportunity to lead and partner with several finance transformation projects including automation, simplification, and standardization of accounting processes
  • Build and document strong internal controls that scale with the business
  • Gain exposure to technical accounting under IFRS and contribute to policy development
