About The Position

ZS is hiring an Associate Consultant for its Insights & Analytics group, focused on healthcare and commercial analytics. The role partners with clients to address complex business challenges using data, analytics, market research, and strategic problem solving. It is suited to someone with commercial analytics experience—ideally in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or healthcare—who can translate business questions into analytical approaches and turn complex data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations. The Associate Consultant will work with large and complex healthcare datasets, with real-world data experience strongly preferred. The role also involves integrating quantitative analysis with market research and other sources of insight, communicating findings to client stakeholders, and owning analytical workstreams. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional, global, and offshore teams, build client relationships, and guide junior team members. The role follows a hybrid working model that combines work from home with on-site presence at client or ZS offices for the majority of the week. Travel is required for client-facing employees as project and client needs dictate. Candidates must already have U.S. work authorization that does not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a strong academic record; relevant fields may include quantitative, analytical, business, economics, healthcare, or related disciplines.
  • 2–4 years of relevant post-collegiate experience; a PhD may substitute for professional experience.
  • Experience in commercial analytics, healthcare analytics, insights, or analytics-driven consulting.
  • Experience using analytics to address commercial and strategic business questions, rather than exclusively technical or modeling-focused problems.
  • Strong ability to structure analyses, interpret results, and translate findings into business insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience managing or overseeing analytical work and maintaining quality management and quality control across deliverables.
  • Ability to tell a story through data and build presentations connecting analytical findings to the broader client business question.
  • Experience collaborating across geographically distributed teams, including offshore or global analytics teams.
  • Strong client-facing written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage workstreams while collaborating across a broader project team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, maturity, and personal initiative.
  • Collaborative, client-first mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
