About The Position

As an experienced Associate Consultant in the Value, Pricing, and Market Access (VPA) practice, you will be an integral part of a cohesive engagement team and will be instrumental in developing the core components of each engagement. In this role, you will help identify critical issues, drive key analytical components of the project, and contribute to the ultimate strategic conclusions and client recommendations. Associate Consultants are relied upon to both execute the analytical underpinnings of engagements and actively participate in the development of strategic recommendations. Putnam serves many industry leaders, including all of the top 10 global biopharmaceutical companies. Studies often combine sophisticated quantitative analytics with significant qualitative fact-finding and synthesis to inform strategic decision-making. The casework spans portfolio prioritization, development pathway and resource optimization, market assessment, product pricing and launch strategies, market segment growth strategies, sales and marketing strategies, franchise development, and patent expiration strategies. Requirements

  • Highly intelligent and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, robust attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven analytic abilities, a strong academic track record and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant consulting and US market access experience.
  • Strong competitive analysis and scenario planning skills.
  • Participation in the development of innovative strategies and plans based on a deep understanding of long-term trends, industry/category value drivers, payer, physician and patient needs, technological advances, competitive behavior, etc.
  • Strong interest and experience in life sciences.
  • Strong teamwork examples.
