About The Position

This role involves completing all aspects of accounting engagements and bookkeeping services for clients. Responsibilities include invoice entry, bill payments, deposit recording, bank reconciliations, payroll transaction recording, general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and financial statement generation. The position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, general tax regulations, payroll tax reporting, and technology implementation procedures relevant to client assignments. The Associate Consultant II must adhere to engagement budget constraints, complete tasks within requested timeframes, and strive to achieve charge hour goals. Additionally, the role involves participating in practice development activities such as joining professional organizations for referrals and engaging in business networking. Administrative duties and other assigned responsibilities are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience in related field
  • Achieve professional certifications relative to area of expertise, must have and preserve required licenses
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Presentation skills mandatory
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proficient use of QuickBooks software
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete all aspects of accounting engagements for clients
  • Complete bookkeeping services for clients including invoice entry, paying bills, recording deposits, bank reconciliations, recording payroll transactions, general ledger account reconciliations, preparing journal entries and generating financial statements.
  • Execute solid understanding of accounting principles, general tax regulation, general payroll tax reporting regulations, technology implementation procedures, etc. relative to individual client assignments
  • Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested
  • Strive to attain charge hour goals
  • Practice in early practice development activities such as: memberships in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagements, and business networking activities
  • Execute administrative duties as assigned
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
