About The Position

The Associate Consultant, Customer Engagement is an early-career entry point into Spotlight’s Customer Engagement practice. This role involves working alongside an experienced Consultant to manage enterprise customer advocacy programs, including platform configuration, advocate recruitment, client communications, and program reporting. The position supports a portfolio of enterprise technology clients, ensuring programs are organized, on track, and growing. It also involves exposure to how customer advocacy connects to the broader influence ecosystem, partnering with AR-focused Client Teams and the Research & Intelligence team. The role is designed for someone who learns by doing, asks questions, and aims to build a career at the intersection of customer relationships and strategic storytelling.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in customer advocacy, customer marketing, or a closely related field.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to follow through on tasks.
  • Ability to track multiple workstreams without constant reminders and flag issues proactively.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning new platforms quickly.
  • Some exposure to advocacy, community, or CRM tools (e.g., UserEvidence, Influitive, Higher Logic, Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Ability to thrive in a small-team environment where work is visible.
  • Willingness to ask questions before assuming.
  • Pride in attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer marketing or advocacy.
  • Experience in customer advocacy, customer marketing, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in customer marketing operations, community management, B2B SaaS, or a client services role at a marketing technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and day-to-day execution of customer advocacy programs, coordinating advocate recruitment, content creation, platform activity, and participation tracking.
  • Maintain and configure advocacy platforms (UserEvidence, Base, Deeto, SlapFive, and similar tools).
  • Build and maintain client-ready deliverables such as program reports, advocate summaries, and pipeline trackers.
  • Help coordinate the flow of customer references between client advocacy programs and Spotlight’s AR teams to support analyst evaluations.
  • Stay organized across a portfolio of active programs, tracking advocate status, content deadlines, and open client requests.
  • Research platform developments, monitor advocacy-forward companies, and surface ideas to strengthen client programs.
