This role is focused on converting pipeline opportunities into program-ready submissions, ensuring projects meet eligibility requirements, and supporting customers through the full application lifecycle. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto with the expectation of being onsite once per week.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in energy efficiency, HVAC, building systems, or related technical fields.
  • A technical or building science foundation (engineering not required, but strong technical aptitude is essential).
  • Ability to perform basic calculations and understand energy savings concepts.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across clients and internal teams.
  • High level of analytical thinking and comfort working with data and reporting.
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate pipeline data.
  • Demonstrated accountability, organization, and initiative in managing multiple priorities.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an inside sales and program delivery partner supporting the Save on Energy Retrofit Program.
  • Work closely with Conservation Account Managers, customers, and internal technical teams to progress energy efficiency projects from early-stage opportunities to approved applications.
  • Progress projects through the pipeline by converting leads into eligible, program-ready applications.
  • Guide customers and trade allies through the end-to-end application process (pre- to post-project).
  • Review applications for completeness and coordinate with internal teams to resolve deficiencies and secure approvals.
  • Collaborate closely with technical review teams to ensure program rules and requirements are met.
  • Support customers in understanding program criteria, incentives, and documentation requirements.
  • Perform basic technical assessments to estimate energy and demand savings (lighting, HVAC, industrial systems).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in CRM systems, including customer interactions and project status.
  • Track and report on pipeline activity, identifying opportunities, challenges, and program trends.
  • Provide support on M&V planning by helping gather documentation and coordinating inputs (not owning validation).
