Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.

Nice To Haves

  • Academic or internship experience in power electronics, circuit design, signals and systems, or related electrical engineering disciplines
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment or basic troubleshooting methods
  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and flexibility in tackling new technical tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, and personal accountability
  • Clear written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands‑on testing, data collection, and analysis for shipboard power electronic systems
  • Support instrumentation and control system compatibility and qualification testing
  • Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and system‑level issues under guidance from experienced engineers
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of data acquisition systems and PLC‑based automation
  • Help design and implement upgrades to test equipment and facilities
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate test execution and laboratory operations
  • Prepare clear written and verbal documentation to support engineering decisions and stakeholder communication
