About The Position

The Associate Communications Strategist will support employee-facing corporate communications activities. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role is part of Textron Systems’ Strategic Communications & Creative team. As an Associate Communications Strategist, you’ll play a key role in helping communicate key projects and strategies to employee audiences across multiple channels. The team’s work is critical to ensuring that employees are aligned across our sites and business lines to support our customers. Candidates should be detail-oriented and highly motivated, with the ability to think strategically, adapt quickly and work well with teams and stakeholders across the business. Superior writing and proofreading skills, as well as analytical abilities, are essential.

Requirements

• Exemplary writing, editing and presentation skills
• Experience with employee communications, social media, content development and public relations
• Strong detail orientation, project planning and execution skills
• Action-oriented self-starter
• Ability to engage with colleagues across the business, from our shop floors to our executive team, with confidence and competence
• Resourceful problem solver
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Mass Media, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field

Responsibilities

• Broadly support internal communications across the Textron Systems segment
• Serve as employee communications point of contact for internal stakeholder teams as assigned
• Deliver high-impact, innovative communications, partnering with cross-functional team members in a coordinated approach while always ensuring consistency of messaging
• Support campaign messaging efforts across channels
• Manage employee communications channels including intranet, newsletters and digital signage
• Work across the Strategic Communications & Creative group to develop materials that advance key objectives and translate project concepts into easy-to-understand graphs, charts & other visuals
• Support achievement and reporting of corporate and team key performance indicators
• Actively contribute to other projects or special programs and support cross-functional initiatives as assigned
