The Impact You Will Have As an Associate Cloud Systems Engineer, you will support the daily operations, provisioning, and maintenance of the organization’s cloud platforms across Azure and AWS environments. You will contribute to the delivery of secure, reliable, and efficient cloud services by following established engineering standards, automation practices, and operational procedures. In this role, you will work closely with cloud and platform engineering teams to support infrastructure deployments, platform operations, monitoring, and automation improvements. Your work will help maintain operational stability, improve service reliability, and support the organization’s ongoing cloud modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 1+ year of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems administration, DevOps, or related technical roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS cloud fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
  • Basic scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and platform operations.
  • Understanding of Azure or AWS cloud services and core operational practices.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation tools, and CI/CD concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud security, governance, tagging, and compliance practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common cloud infrastructure and operational issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational reliability and process adherence.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills within technical teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new cloud technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, infrastructure, and support teams.
  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud operations, monitoring, and incident response processes preferred.
  • Relevant cloud certifications in Azure, AWS, or related technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provision and maintain Azure and AWS cloud resources using approved Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules, automation tools, and operational runbooks.
  • Execute routine cloud platform operations including patching, backups, maintenance activities, and incident response support.
  • Monitor cloud resources and troubleshoot common performance, availability, and operational issues.
  • Contribute improvements to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation processes.
  • Support infrastructure deployment and operational workflows within cloud environments.
  • Follow established security, compliance, tagging, governance, and cost management standards.
  • Document operational procedures, troubleshooting steps, and support processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to support platform reliability and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Participate in operational readiness, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support cloud monitoring, alerting, and basic automation tasks across enterprise platforms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
