Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting AWS infrastructure in production.
  • You've written and modified IaC templates and understand what they deploy (CloudFormation or Terraform).
  • Working knowledge of AWS core services: compute, storage, databases, networking, and security.
  • Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell — you've automated operational tasks, not just modify/run existing scripts.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting (CloudWatch, PagerDuty or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated solid troubleshooting instincts — you can walk us through a problem you diagnosed and how you approached it.
  • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfort with Git-based workflows.
  • One (1) of the following AWS certifications is required: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or Professional-level certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations and/or Control Tower.
  • Experience with cloud governance, cost optimization, and security controls.
  • Foundational awareness of AWS Generative AI services (such as Amazon Bedrock) and their cost implications.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning within AWS.
  • Microsoft certification/s and/or experience supporting Windows workloads in cloud.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted in place of a degree).

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, administer, and support AWS infrastructure and services across multiple environments.
  • Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
  • Build and improve automation scripts that reduce manual operational work.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Monitor environments using CloudWatch and related tooling; respond to performance, availability, and security issues.
  • Help implement and maintain AWS security controls and identity management (IAM).
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, and production support, including executing DR procedures and runbooks.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with software development, security, and infrastructure teams.
