About The Position

SCS Financial is seeking an Associate to join its Client Service Solutions team, a core business management function responsible for integral operating functions supporting the client service team. The Associate will contribute to client relationships, organize and maintain client information, handle cashiering and money movements, and facilitate various firmwide support functions. This role involves regular interaction with numerous internal teams to support client relationships. The ideal candidate is well-organized, detail-focused, energetic, team-oriented, a self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think critically. The position can be located in Boston, MA, or Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with financial services technology – investment accounting platforms, client relationship management (CRM) tools and client reporting software
  • Experience managing processes and reviewing colleagues’ work in prior roles

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in an operations role within the financial services industry preferred. Prior experience in wealth management, RIA, or family office or comparable. Internship experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Cashiering: process and reconcile money movements on behalf of clients with strict adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Interface directly with external custodian banks in the account opening and asset transfer process.
  • Lead account opening and new client onboarding project plans, including communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Maintain existing client information; ensure all necessary data and documentation is accurately captured and preserved in the Firm’s database
  • Support alternative investment processing procedures on behalf of clients.
  • Work closely with other middle office teams to ensure client portfolio information is accurate and updated on a regular and timely basis.
  • Assist in all ad hoc information or report requests from advisors.
  • Participate in the enhancement of firmwide projects designed to improve the overall client experience, internal workflows, or data movement around the Firm.
