About The Position

The Associate Client Manager, Commercial Risk serves as a technical resource for clients, advisors, Insurance Company Partners and prospects while providing prompt, efficient, high-quality service for designated accounts within our prestigious Construction Practice. The position involves managing all policy activity aspects of assigned accounts, including endorsements and invoicing, and determining acceptability and placement for new policies. It also requires reviewing existing accounts to identify opportunities for additional lines of insurance and cultivating strong relationships with Insurance Company Partners.

Requirements

  • Ability to forge relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives.
  • Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites.
  • Ability to analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages, and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects.
  • Ability to work as part of a team of professionals and build relationships with other Firm business segments.
  • Demonstrates Firm’s behavioral tenets, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture.
  • At least 3-5 years of related insurance experience, or associated industry experience.
  • Obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty state insurance license or other state insurance license(s), as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions (or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment).

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering information and risk management recommendations for renewals.
  • Delivering renewals and/or binders as needed.
  • Managing all policy activity aspects of assigned accounts including endorsements and invoicing.
  • Maintaining a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, the organization and Insurance Company Partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.
  • Receiving phone calls and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and/or new policies.
  • Determining acceptability and placement, completing applications or endorsements, and collecting premium when applicable.
  • Reviewing existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited and doing so by mail and/or phone prior to renewal.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with Insurance Company Partners and being responsible for knowing carrier requirements and attributes.
  • Looking for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes.
  • Bringing issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership.
