About The Position

Marsh is seeking candidates for an Associate Client Executive position based in the Montreal office. You will be joining a dynamic national team consisting of insurance and surety professionals, dedicated to the National Construction and Surety (NCS) Practice, which consists of over 100 colleagues. In your first few weeks, you will be learning the systems, Marsh internal processes, and gain an understanding of existing clients and their needs within the Practice.

Requirements

  • 5 years+ commercial insurance experience.
  • An AMF and/or RIBO license.
  • Possess a solid understanding of basic property/casualty insurance principals and risk management concepts.
  • Be detail-oriented with good computer skills with proficiency in email, word processing and spreadsheet software, as well as working knowledge of presentation software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be results oriented with a strong client service focus.
  • The ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.
  • Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance
  • Experience in construction preferred
  • Construction Insurance Experience, including annual programs and project specific coverage
  • AMF and/or RIBO Licensed Broker
  • Licenses in other provinces, would be an added benefit
  • Exceptional time management and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Support Client Executives and be a first point of contact for day to day communications with clients, as well as manage your own book of business.
  • Management and follow through on all client requests from assigned book of business.
  • Manage clients and provide clear direction and instruction to other team members.
  • Provide top quality day to day service on client deliverables, including pre and post renewal processes.
  • Advise clients on insurance requirements for tender requests – Contract reviews, providing indication pricing, advising on exposure and gaps in coverage etc.
  • Identify potential areas of growth for existing clients.
  • Support sales professionals on prospecting new clients.
  • Lead negotiations of renewals and projects with specific insurance terms for existing clients in support of the Client Executive.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections on a consistent basis.
  • Manager renewals with commercial accounts.
  • Exceed customer relationship management standards and maintain strong long-lasting relationships with clients acting in their best interest.
  • Ability to make recommendations on operational strategies/ new initiatives to increase efficiency of the team you manage, to increase revenue growth, and to enhance the brand image.
