About The Position
Pennoni Associates is seeking an Associate Transportation Civil Engineer for their Virginia Beach, VA office. The role involves working as part of a design team to deliver projects for clients such as VDOT, NCDOT, and other agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region, as well as locally administered transportation projects in Virginia. Project types include transportation improvement projects, safety improvement projects, bridge replacement projects, and multi-use trail projects.
Requirements
- MicroStation Connect, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience or Autodesk/Civil 3-D experience
- Highway and roadway design experience using MicroStation Connect, ORD and PW
- Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience
- Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience.
- Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout and lighting design
- Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans.
- Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
- Construction consultation experience

- GIS experience
- CCR certification
