About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries to make life and our environment safer, healthier, and more sustainable. This role performs skilled analytical procedures accurately and precisely without supervision, writes and updates SOPs and analytical methods, learns new analyses with minimal guidance, understands and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation and procedures, communicates results and interpretation of results to clients, and maintains a superior level of QC performance. The role also helps coordinate the work of technicians to meet laboratory turnaround times and verifies assigned analyses. Additionally, the Associate Chemistry role involves training others in analytical procedures, principles, instrumentation, and safety practices, assisting technicians and laboratory assistants as needed, and conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner. The position is 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with training hours being the same.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field, equivalent relevant experience may substitute for a degree
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to stand at lab bench for long periods of time
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Sufficient knowledge of department operations to determine if rush can be promised
  • Verify assigned analyses
  • Train others in analytical procedures, principles, instrumentation, and safety practices
  • Assist technicians and laboratory assistants as needed
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
