Associate Chemist - Wet Chemistry - 2nd Shift, M-F
About The Position
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services. This role involves performing skilled analytical procedures accurately and precisely, writing and updating SOPs, troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation, communicating results to clients, and maintaining a high level of QC performance. The position also involves coordinating the work of technicians to meet turnaround times and training others in analytical procedures, principles, instrumentation, and safety practices. The role is for the 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm, M-F), with training provided on the 1st Shift (8am-4:30pm, M-F).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field, equivalent relevant experience may substitute for a degree
- Computer skills
- Ability to stand at lab bench for long periods of time
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities
- Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate

- Perform skilled analytical procedures accurately and precisely without supervision
- Write and update SOPs, analytical methods
- Learn new analyses with minimal guidance
- Understand and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and procedures
- Communicate results and interpretation of results to clients
- Superior level of QC performance
- Help coordinate work of technicians to meet hold times, rush, promised, and standard laboratory turnaround times
- Sufficient knowledge of department operations to determine if rush can be promised
- Verify assigned analyses
- Train others in analytical procedures, principles, instrumentation, and safety practices
- Assist technicians and laboratory assistants as needed
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
