About The Position

Element has an opportunity for a Associate Chemist who will be primarily responsible for performing regeneration of water treatment to provide sufficient boiler water make up. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience. The ideal candidate is responsible, self-motivated, a team player, and maintains awareness of health and safety mandated by the company. Possesses good communication skills and is organized.

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine and complex chemical analyses
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Supporting team chemists to finish production in timely manner according to specifications and strict adherence to quality
  • Preparing specimens
  • Calibration, operation and maintaining laboratory equipment such as ICP-OES, GFAA, Combustion, Fusion Units and GDMS
  • Performing regeneration of water treatment to provide sufficient boiler water make up
