About The Position

ProSidian seeks an Associate Chemist | Chemistry (Chemist) for Program Support on an Exempt Basis for Working On-Site (Client Site) in The Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Area (Aiken, South Carolina). This is a Contract Contingent role, generally located across the Aiken, South Carolina and Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Region, supporting a High-hazard nuclear cleanup environment requiring disciplined staffing, safety, quality, security, and regulatory compliance. The role is aligned with GSA Labor Category: Engineer / Scientist I and is principally focused on ProSidian Strategic Resourcing and Professional Staff Augmentation for Chemistry (Chemist) Solutions and Services. We seek candidates with relevant Nuclear And Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for clients such as SRMC. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Chemistry (Chemist) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline Professional Position, however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. The role involves providing services and support as an Associate Chemist aligned with the Chemistry (Chemist) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline in the Nuclear And Environmental Management Industry Sector. It focuses on Human Capital | Project Management | Engineering | Environmental | Compliance | Risk Management | IT Effectiveness | Business Process | Training Knowledge Management Solutions for clients such as Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) | SRMC Supply Chain / Procurement supporting the Liquid Waste Program under DOE prime contract. The position requires providing Chemistry (Chemist) Services and Solutions as a ProSidian Engagement Team Member, supporting chemical analysis activities through planning, analysis, coordination, documentation, compliance, quality assurance, and stakeholder support. The goal is to deliver reliable analytical results by strengthening methods, instruments, procedures, data quality, and laboratory performance.

Responsibilities

  • Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task. Take necessary steps to stop work if continuing the activity is unsafe or will create and unsafe condition.
  • Takes required safety and technical trainings necessary to work in assigned laboratory.
  • Follows analytical methods, plans and conducts lab tests in assigned area per laboratory administrative procedures.
  • Validates, and verifies analytical methods in assigned analytical area per laboratory administrative procedures.
  • Performs installation (with vendor when necessary), maintenance, troubleshooting of the assigned instrument, software, and laboratory facilities.
  • Writes technical procedures in accordance with validated analytical methods.
  • Other duties as assigned.
