About The Position

The Associate Chaplain provides professional spiritual care to patients, families, and staff regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference. Working alongside interdisciplinary health care colleagues, the chaplain helps create a holistic care community and provide whole-person care within the facility served. The position requires completing established competencies during the designated introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university.
• Graduate professional degree from an accredited theological school.
• Four units of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or NACC.
• At least one year of pastoral and/or chaplaincy experience.
• Eligible for Association of Professional Chaplains board certification (BCC).
• Ecclesiastical endorsement.

Nice To Haves

• Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school.
• One-year residency from an accredited ACPE center.
• Two years of clinical pastoral experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Two years of pastoral and/or chaplaincy experience.
• Board certification (BCC) by the Association of Professional Chaplains or an affiliate cognate group.
