About The Position

The Associate Category Manager – Facilities, EHS & Construction role has the responsibility for strategic category management leading negotiations and purchases for the entire organization. The Associate Category Manager – Facilities, EHS & Construction has the critical responsibility of managing and supporting business needs with internal partners to identify and manage a supply base to deliver value across all SBUs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, ex: consulting, purchasing / buyer, and/or analyst experience.
  • Ability to assess vendors and demonstrated negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions and strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality.
  • Responsible for multi-year strategy development, execution of Indirect Procurement processes, and supplier relationship management
  • Develop relationships and communication strategies with internal partners to identify business needs and align the supply base to achieve strategic direction
  • Responsible for building and managing strategic supplier relationships through a formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation
  • Provide guidance and oversight of the sourcing process to ensure spending is awarded to provide the maximum value
  • Lead the development and negotiation of contracts through the Contract Lifecycle Management process while maximizing value and minimizing risk
  • Partner with Regional and Global Procurement teams to ensure delivery of productivity, cost avoidance, and cash flow
  • Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance
