About The Position

The Capital Markets Transformation team supports Capital Markets by collaborating with business partners across the Front Office and functional teams to facilitate change through business-driven transformation. This role is crucial for driving business transformation and ensuring regulatory compliance, thereby contributing to the long-term success of RBC Capital Markets. The position provides essential assistance with project execution, allowing senior team members to concentrate on strategic planning and decision-making. The team is seeking an eager and high-performing individual to work on regulatory and strategic projects, focusing on delivering impactful business outcomes. This is a hybrid role, requiring the incumbent to work a minimum of 4 days in the office.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance or a related field required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros) and PowerPoint (strong storyboarding of executive level presentations)
  • Demonstrated ability in stakeholder and relationship management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to proactively work with other stakeholders in the bank to independently facilitate work
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment with the ability to provide direction to others

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of Capital Markets and/or previous banking experience
  • Experience in leading projects or work streams within projects
  • Basic knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop key relationships within the Business, Functions, and across RBC segments, to execute on project deliverables
  • Work with stakeholders to develop project schedules, deliverables, and milestones
  • Create and maintain project artefacts, meeting materials, reports and status updates
  • Regularly report progress of project status, milestones, achievements, and risks / issues in both formal and informal settings
  • Prepare presentation materials to communicate project progress for key stakeholders and management as needed
  • Support the team with administrative tasks and data analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Facilitate project execution and the transfer of knowledge after project completion.
