About The Position

Lincoln International is seeking Associates to join its rapidly growing Business Services, M&A practice in Richmond, Virginia. Associates work closely with the firm’s senior bankers and clients’ senior executives and are involved in all aspects of M&A transactions, developing the ability to execute deals from start to finish. The role offers exposure to international clients and buyers, opportunities to contribute to Analysts’ development, and involvement in new business development. Associates may also take on responsibilities beyond typical roles to support professional development and the firm’s growth.

Requirements

• Fluency in accounting and finance and strong business acumen.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Assertiveness, self-motivation, and a desire to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• 4–5 years of experience in sell-side M&A, capital raising, investment banking, or accounting.
• Must not now or in the future require employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analyses and valuations.
• Conduct industry research.
• Identify and contact potential buyers or acquisition targets.
• Prepare confidential information memoranda and management presentations.
• Interact with senior bankers and clients’ senior executives.
• Participate in new business meetings.
• Host visits by potential buyers at client facilities.
• Support senior bankers during transaction negotiations.
• Facilitate due diligence and transaction closings.
• Lead or implement initiatives focused on growing the firm’s franchise value.
• Contribute to Analysts’ development.
• Support new business development efforts.
