About The Position

The Associate Business Process Improvement Analyst will support manufacturing and business process improvement initiatives focused on increasing operational efficiency, productivity, process flow, and overall performance within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
Must be willing and able to work 100% on-site in Villalba, Puerto Rico.
Knowledge and/or hands-on experience performing time studies and line balancing.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience or knowledge in: Time Studies, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Flow Acceleration, Ergonomics, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Manufacturing Layout Creation and Optimization, Process Mapping and Analysis, Data Collection and Analysis, Root Cause Analysis.
Ability to analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience or exposure within regulated industries, preferably medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience developing process metrics and performance indicators.
Experience with manufacturing capacity, productivity, workflow, and layout improvement projects.
Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience involving Industrial Engineering and continuous improvement activities is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Perform time studies and line-balancing analyses to identify opportunities to improve productivity, capacity, and manufacturing flow.
Analyze and document existing manufacturing and business processes.
Support Lean Manufacturing and flow acceleration initiatives.
Develop and optimize manufacturing layouts to improve workflow, material movement, personnel flow, and ergonomics.
Perform Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
Collect and analyze operational data to identify root causes of process performance issues.
Develop metrics and performance indicators to measure process effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
Measure performance against established process requirements and address performance gaps.
Support cross-functional teams in the implementation of process improvement projects.
Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes and improvement initiatives.
Research and evaluate best practices, techniques, and processes.
Prepare and communicate project progress, findings, recommendations, and results to internal stakeholders.
Support presentations and training related to process measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.
Ensure process improvement activities align with applicable procedures and requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
