About The Position

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is seeking an Associate, Banking in New York, New York to work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts. Contribute to strategic advisory assignments and executions of public and private capital markets transactions. Work closely with senior professionals throughout the firm to deliver high quality advice to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Finance, or a related field of study
  • Three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a closely related occupation
  • Three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; financial statements; Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); Capital IQ; rating agency and syndicated debt process; investment banking procedures; corporate finance transaction structuring and analysis; synthesizing large amounts of data and developing solutions; and financial, legal, and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks.
  • One (1) year of experience with financial modelling including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, precedent transaction, and comparable company analyses; PitchBook; buyside and sellside mergers & acquisitions; equity including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), follow-ons, and block trades; and operating and valuation models including dividend discount model and ability- to-pay.
