About The Position

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is seeking an Associate, Banking in New York, New York to work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts. Contribute to strategic advisory assignments and executions of public and private capital markets transactions. Work closely with senior professionals throughout the firm to deliver high quality advice to clients.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Finance, or a related field of study
Three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a closely related occupation
Three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Three (3) years of experience with financial statements
Three (3) years of experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Three (3) years of experience with Capital IQ
Three (3) years of experience with rating agency and syndicated debt process
Three (3) years of experience with investment banking procedures
Three (3) years of experience with corporate finance transaction structuring and analysis
Three (3) years of experience synthesizing large amounts of data and developing solutions
Three (3) years of experience with financial, legal, and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks
One (1) year of experience with financial modelling including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, precedent transaction, and comparable company analyses
One (1) year of experience with PitchBook
One (1) year of experience with buyside and sellside mergers & acquisitions
One (1) year of experience with equity including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), follow-ons, and block trades
One (1) year of experience with operating and valuation models including dividend discount model and ability- to-pay

Responsibilities
