About The Position

The Schwab Bank Platform Team connects Business and Technology to identify, define, prioritize, and deliver Core Banking capabilities and competitive bank features while improving operational efficiency and scale. Move Money Solutions is responsible for preventing risk, processing money movements, and educating clients and partners about related policies and procedures.

As a Bank Operations Wires Support Associate, you will support internal and external customers through inbound and outbound phone calls related to moving funds. You will serve as a primary contact for branch partners and clients, helping provide high-quality service while assessing risk, resolving issues, researching requests, and guiding clients through Schwab’s money movement solutions. This role is intended to be performed on site in the specified location(s).

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in client service or operations; brokerage or financial industry experience is preferred.
• Passion for service and a desire to help people.
• Engaging communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology and use a variety of data and systems to proactively identify solutions for client needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of regulatory, audit, and compliance policies regarding the securities industry.
• Intermediate technical skills and ability to use multiple applications simultaneously and efficiently, including Windows, internet research, database systems, and email.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated results orientation, including maintaining high-performance standards and trying strategies to achieve challenging goals.
• Adaptability in rapidly changing conditions and high-pressure situations, including the ability to learn processes, activities, and platforms from other business segments and respond constructively to setbacks.

Responsibilities

• Handle and evaluate risk when reviewing client account money movement requests, including domestic and international currency wires.
• Assess and resolve client issues relating to wires, deposits, and transfers, and help clients navigate available money movement solutions and services.
• Conduct research and handle special requests using internal processing systems, phone, and email.
• Identify situations that warrant escalation and act quickly in a high-risk environment.
• Perform detailed work and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Work collaboratively and effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide high-quality support to internal and external customers through inbound and outbound phone calls relating to the movement of funds.
