About The Position

Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm with four decades of trial experience, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its civil litigation practice. This role may be based in our Memphis office with a hybrid schedule, or fully remote from Nashville, and will support a multi-state litigation practice. This is a hands-on opportunity for attorneys who want meaningful responsibility, sophisticated case work, and direct mentorship from experienced trial lawyers. Associates are integral members of the litigation team and are trusted with real ownership of their cases from day one. You will defend a wide range of high-exposure general liability matters, including: Premises liability Product liability Wrongful death Construction liability Governmental and municipality liability Commercial litigation Real Estate litigation Healthcare liability Other complex civil litigation matters

Requirements

2–7 years of general liability defense experience
Active Tennessee bar license (additional state licenses strongly preferred)
Experience litigating across multiple jurisdictions
Strong experience with pleadings, motion practice, written discovery, depositions, and court appearances
Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
The ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A proactive mindset and a sense of ownership over assigned matters
