About The Position

The Tampa office of Kubicki Draper is seeking an Entry-Level Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance defense team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly licensed or early-career attorney looking to build a strong foundation in litigation while receiving hands-on experience, training, and mentorship. Candidates should have a strong interest in litigation, a willingness to learn, and the motivation to grow their legal career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Active member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
Strong legal research and writing skills
Strong academic background
Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments
Client-focused mindset and commitment to providing excellent service
Eagerness to learn, develop litigation skills, and grow within the firm

Responsibilities

Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case strategy
Review medical records, claims documents, and other case materials
Assist with preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial. Will also, handle some of these tasks.
Communicate with clients, attorneys, and members of the litigation team
Manage case assignments and deadlines with guidance from experienced attorneys
Develop hands-on experience handling insurance defense and personal injury matters
Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
