About The Position
Mandarich Law Group is one of the country's leading creditor's rights law firms with offices in CA NY IL MI OH GA and FL. They are seeking an Associate Attorney for their Kansas City, Kansas office. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice law in the state of Kansas and Missouri.
Requirements
- Licensed in the State of Kansas AND Missouri to practice law.
- Comfortable appearing in court.
- Ability to appear on time consistently using your own method of transportation.
- Multi-tasking and strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory for a high volume case load.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- Additional licensing in other states (IA NE ID CA WA OR AK HI NV) is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for and appear timely for court appearances, predominantly in courts on the eastern side of Kansas. Ensure timely and reliable appearance at courthouses, which may require overnight travel and driving.
- Review and appropriately request coverage for court calls where the Associate will not appear, including attaching necessary documents and orders.
- Draft, review, and file necessary motions during litigation.
- Prepare for trials and arbitrations, which may include overnight stays in distant counties.
- Communicate with consumers, consumer's employers, and consumer's attorneys to resolve accounts/suits.
