The Cherry Hill, NJ office is seeking a motivated associate attorney with at least three years of workers’ compensation defense experience and an eagerness to learn. This role involves handling a variety of matters, including general liability and insurance defense for nationwide clients.

Requirements

At least three years of workers’ compensation defense experience
Licensed to practice in New Jersey state and federal district courts
Proactively work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrate strong legal research and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills
Ability to move from case to case
Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures
Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Westlaw and navigating the internet

Nice To Haves

Admission in Pennsylvania state and federal court is also preferred

Responsibilities

Draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda
Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions
Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency
Prepare and take depositions of parties and witnesses
Review client documents, draft case evaluations and status report correspondence
Assist with and participate in trial preparation, mediations, arbitrations and court appearances
Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues and staff
