About The Position

RMWBH is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to work in our Property Owners Association department in our Bee Cave office. As an Associate Attorney, this position requires performing legal research, fact investigation and preparation of legal documents. Under general supervision, this individual researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, case law and legal articles to oversee and review the preparation of legal documents, such as demand letters, association governing documents, opinions, petitions and motions. Also, this individual will be required to attend hearings, mediations, depositions and trials.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed in the state of Texas
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for analyzing complex legal issues and developing innovative solutions to serve the best interests of our clients
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey legal concepts to clients, colleagues, and the court
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and professional integrity while representing clients and engaging in legal practice
  • Effectively manage caseloads, deadlines, and priorities to ensure timely and accurate legal representation
  • Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders to achieve collective goals and objectives
  • Proactively take ownership of legal matters and show a strong sense of responsibility for achieving successful outcomes
  • Apply strategic thought processes to legal cases, identifying opportunities and risks while crafting comprehensive legal strategies
  • Understand the broader business context in which legal matters are situated and offer legal advice aligned with organizational goals
  • Display meticulous attention to detail and diligence in legal research, case preparation, and documentation
  • Deliver persuasive and articulate presentations, whether in court, negotiations, or client consultations

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate litigation, property owners association law, deed restriction, and/or lien enforcement matters is preferred
  • Proficiency in both litigation and transactional legal work is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Oversee/review pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. relating to the firm’s clients in both deed restriction enforcement and collection litigation, counseling and transactional matters as assigned
  • Oversee and manage high volume pre-litigation and litigation docket
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials
  • Client interaction/development
  • Help coordinate workflow and supervise paralegals
  • As needed, work with POA Shareholders and/or Associate attorneys and staff in other firm offices
