About The Position

Lippes Mathias is seeking a talented Associate to join our Banking and Financial Transactions Practice Group. This group is a comprehensive and experienced legal team that provides invaluable expertise to both lenders and borrowers. The role will focus on handling a wide variety of sophisticated financial transactions, with an emphasis on secured transactions, commercial real estate financing, mezzanine loans, and loan participation and syndications. Lippes Mathias represents clients across the United States and Canada, including publicly traded companies and REITs, in transactions involving various property types such as retail, office, industrial, multifamily, student housing, hospitality, and mixed-use properties.

Requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
3-5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and/or commercial leasing
Client-service orientation
Desire to develop business over time
Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills
Comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
