About The Position

Peakstone Law Group is seeking a high-performing Associate Attorney to support our criminal defense practice while expanding into civil litigation. This role is designed for an attorney with meaningful criminal law experience (misdemeanor and felony required) who is looking to broaden their practice into probate, civil litigation, and future domestic relations work as the firm continues to grow. You will take ownership of a robust criminal caseload immediately while being trained and developed in additional practice areas over time. This is a production-focused position for an attorney who is comfortable in court, capable of managing volume, and motivated to grow into a more diversified and higher-value practice.

Requirements

Licensed and in good standing in Colorado
Minimum 2+ years of criminal law experience, including misdemeanor AND felony cases (required)
Prior experience as a Public Defender or Deputy District Attorney strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage a high caseload with accountability and efficiency
Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills

Responsibilities

Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including DUI, misdemeanor, and felony cases
Handle court appearances, hearings, negotiations, and case strategy
Draft motions, pleadings, and legal documents across matters
Assist with and develop probate and civil litigation cases (training provided)
Support future expansion into domestic relations matters as the firm grows
Maintain consistent and professional client communication
Work closely with paralegals to ensure efficient case progression
