About The Position

Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join their award-winning team. This role offers immediate hands-on experience handling toxic tort and products liability litigation matters, with potential to handle other matters such as general liability, wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, and breach of contract/business disputes. Responsibilities include all aspects of case management from inception to resolution, including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions, attending mediations, and trial. The position involves working with a diverse range of clients and offers opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, and mentorship from experienced partners. Fully remote and hybrid options are available, with remote candidates required to reside in Southern California.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment.
  • Skilled in conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, propounding and responding to discovery, as well as interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills along with a client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
  • Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current admission to the California State Bar is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and attending mediations, preferred.
  • Trial experience is a plus!
