About The Position
Anderson Legal Group, PC is offering an outstanding opportunity for a talented Litigation Associate to join their team. The firm has offices in Virginia Beach, Newport News, Williamsburg, and Gloucester. This role involves litigating cases in court, negotiating settlements, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, attending client meetings, representing clients in mediation and arbitration, preparing for trials and hearings, and collaborating with senior attorneys on complex cases.
Requirements
- Admission to Virginia State Bar
- Recent law school graduate or attorney with a minimum 1-3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated interest in litigation and a strong desire to develop your skills in this practice area.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
Responsibilities
- Litigate cases in court on behalf of clients
- Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions
- Attend client meetings and provide legal advice and guidance
- Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings
- Prepare for and participate in trials and hearings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex cases
