About The Position

Fair Cadora, APC is seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate Attorney to join our growing family law practice in San Diego. This is an onsite or hybrid, full-time role with a 4-day, 32-hour work week. Fair Cadora is a boutique family law firm founded in 2011 that serves clients throughout San Diego County. Our tight-knit team of experienced family law attorneys and support staff prides itself on delivering high-quality and results-driven representation, while remaining genuinely compassionate toward clients navigating one of the most difficult chapters of their lives. We believe early education and clear communication are what allow clients to make the best possible decisions for their families. Our diverse skill set means clients can choose their path with our support no matter the choice, whether it be litigation, attorney-led negotiation, mediation, Collaborative Divorce, or consulting.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of California family law experience
  • Comfortable running a complex, active trial court caseload independently
  • Licensed by and in good standing with the State Bar of California
  • Proven track record navigating the demands of a robust family law caseload
  • Comfortable and skilled in court appearances and depositions
  • Excel at writing motions, declarations, trial briefs, and judgments
  • Work well as part of a small, collaborative team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
  • Take ownership of your cases and thrive with autonomy, while knowing when to ask for input

Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultations with potential clients
  • Managing cases in alignment with client objectives and driving timely resolution
  • Communicating with opposing counsel, clients, and the court via phone, email, and correspondence
  • Making court appearances and conducting depositions
  • Drafting declarations, motions, discovery, judgments, and trial briefs
  • Conducting legal research and writing memoranda of points and authorities
  • Maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients throughout their matter
  • Providing litigation support for other attorneys when needed
