About The Position

The Associate Attorney is responsible for managing a growing portfolio of employment and class action litigation under the guidance of senior attorneys. This role provides high-quality legal counsel, advocacy, and client service, including drafting substantive legal documents, conducting research, attending hearings and mediations, and collaborating with support staff to advance clients’ interests effectively.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar (dual CA licensure a plus).
  • 3+ years of relevant litigation experience, ideally including employment law/wage and hour class actions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PDF software, and legal research platforms.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with case management systems (e.g., FileVine).

Responsibilities

  • Manage class action wage and hour matters from inception through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct client and witness interviews and summarize statements.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Develop case strategy and maintain regular communication with clients.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure accurate file management and adherence to deadlines.
  • Perform legal research using LexisNexis and other platforms.
  • Analyze employment contracts, workplace policies, statutes, and regulations to provide actionable guidance.
  • Summarize and synthesize findings in memoranda and advisories.
  • Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare trial and mediation materials, including briefs and reports.
  • Maintain high-quality written communication in all correspondence.
  • Coordinate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff.
  • Participate in firm-wide projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and calendars across multiple jurisdictions.
