Associate Attorney - Employment & Commercial
About The Position
O’Hagan Meyer seeks an attorney with at least 3 years of civil litigation experience to join our Hermosa Beach office. The ideal candidate will have experience litigating in some or all of the areas of employment, business/commercial litigation, professional liability, premises liability, and/or directors & officers defense. This is an ideal opportunity for an attorney looking to handle a wide-range of civil litigation matters involving cutting-edge topics and sophisticated, interesting clients. Requirements
- At least 3 years of civil litigation experience
- Admission to the state bar of California
Nice To Haves
- Experience in employment or commercial litigation
- Experience with both state and federal courts
Responsibilities
- Legal research
- Drafting of pleadings, motions, and other documents
- Taking and defending depositions
- Drafting and answering discovery requests
- Trial preparation and trial assistance
- Communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues
- Local travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections, and depositions
