About The Position

Keystone Law Group is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to enhance our dynamic and growing trust and estate litigation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in litigation practice and demonstrate key skills such as strong legal research, persuasive writing, analytical thinking, client service, and teamwork. Associate attorneys will work on an assignment/project basis under the direction of Senior attorneys and Partners, and also may be assigned as a handling attorney on smaller matters. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and adapt well to firm processes and technology, and eager to learn a new practice area. The firm will provide extensive training during the onboarding process. Keystone Law Group is a forward-thinking probate law firm with a focus on trust, estate, and conservatorship litigation, administration, and other probate disputes. The firm is a boutique practice with around 50 employees, all dedicated to delivering superior client service through a culture grounded in excellence, innovation, collaboration, and camaraderie. Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Must possess extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
  • At least 1-3 years of demonstrated litigation experience in probate law
  • Strong academic record
  • CA Bar membership required

Responsibilities

  • Research legal issues for trust and estate litigation matters
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, memorandums, motions and other legal documents
  • Assist with trust and estate litigation matters from inception through trial
  • Make court appearances in the probate courts
  • Assist with probate administrations from initiation of proceedings to discharge of personal representative
  • Assist with conservatorship or guardianship matters from initiation of proceedings to representation of conservators or guardians for the duration of these matters
  • Other projects, as assigned
