About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney – Litigation to join our growing legal team. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in hands-on civil litigation work, values direct client engagement, and is comfortable taking ownership of matters in a collaborative yet independent environment. This position offers meaningful responsibility across all phases of pre-trial litigation, with exposure to complex civil matters in both state and federal court.

Requirements

Active California State Bar license in good standing
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Proven experience in: Motion practice and drafting persuasive legal briefs
Proven experience in: Discovery management and strategy
Proven experience in: Deposition preparation and attendance
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Comfortable with court appearances, depositions, and direct client interaction
High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and organizational discipline
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team-based environment

Nice To Haves

5+ years of civil litigation experience preferred, with strong emphasis on pre-trial work

Responsibilities

Manage and support a docket of civil litigation matters through all stages of pre-trial litigation
Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal correspondence
Conduct in-depth legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis
Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings (including in-person appearances as needed)
Collaborate closely with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members in a professional and responsive manner
Contribute to case strategy, risk assessment, and overall litigation planning and execution
Maintain accurate case files and ensure timely compliance with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
