About The Position

Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) is seeking an Associate Athletic Director for Compliance & Student Services. This role involves overseeing rosters and scholarships, ensuring adherence to all NCAA regulations (including eligibility, ethical conduct, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, amateurism, and recruiting), serving as a student-athlete liaison, and managing student-athlete discipline and Department Title IX compliance. The position includes hiring and supervising the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services and Compliance, as well as graduate assistants. The Associate Athletic Director will represent Athletics on various campus committees, such as the Financial Aid Award Committee (FAAC) and the Enrollment Committee. Additionally, they will assist the Athletic Director with game and event management, hiring and staffing, and performance management, and may serve as the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). The role is expected to foster spiritual formation and leadership, academic excellence, athletic competitiveness, and community engagement, reporting to the Athletic Director. Depending on the candidate's experience, the position may start at the Assistant Athletic Director level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Related experience in athletics and knowledge of NCAA regulations
  • Sufficient skills, knowledge and training to perform the essential functions of this position
  • Candidates must be Christians (preferably in the Wesleyan tradition)
  • Must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU

Responsibilities
