As an Associate Asset Manager within PNC's Multi Family Capital organization, you will be based in a PNC location. The Associate Asset Manager supports the oversight of a portfolio of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) investments on behalf of the equity partner, with a primary focus on assets in the final three years of the compliance period. This role assists Senior Asset Managers in protecting and optimizing equity value by evaluating both equity performance and credit risk across the portfolio. Responsibilities include reviewing property operations, financial performance, and compliance status, as well as conducting site inspections and supporting travel-based asset reviews. The Associate plays a key role in analyzing investment health, preparing internal assessments, and partnering closely with senior team members, while not being responsible for formal watchlist monitoring or reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support asset management activities across the lifecycle of LIHTC investments. Requirements

  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees limited portfolios and/or routine Borrower requests and inquiries for securitized CMBS, Agency, SASB, SFR or other portfolios comprised of loans secured by income producing commercial real estate
  • May possess a working knowledge of commercial real estate, industry terminology and real estate capital markets.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on watch list assets
  • Reviews financial statements, loan covenants, market, and economic data to determine the economic and/or compliance impact.
  • Assess property inspections for watch lists determinations and further escalation to internal partners.
  • Reviews and responds to external party inquiries related to the assigned portfolios while adhering to established compliance procedures.
  • May interact with external parties which include internal and external legal counsel, rating agencies, special servicers, and investors.
  • Collaborates effectively with internal business partners to aid with cross-departmental decision making.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
