About The Position

As our Assessment Architect, you will be responsible for facilitating, analyzing, and delivering assessments to customers. You will deliver technical assessments and develop service proposal content and pricing for customer projects. You will help customers refine and evolve their IT strategy roadmap and business case for cloud adoption, and deliver presentations to IT and business leadership. The assessments you deliver will target a customer’s current IT infrastructure, and the findings will help develop IT roadmapping strategies. Many of our assessments will focus on cloud adoption and cloud optimization. In this role, reporting to the Assessment Services Senior Manager, you will be responsible for working with customers to build the business case for change and migration to the cloud.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of multi-disciplinary IT experience in areas such as cloud architecture, application management, database administration, and system administration
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for thought leadership and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong knowledge of business drivers, success metrics, and customer focus
  • Customer-facing experience, including presenting to and fielding questions from mid-level and senior management
  • Experience in pre-sales, delivery, or go-to-market (GTM) roles
  • Knowledge of cloud economics, cost modeling, and the financial impacts of design decisions
  • Knowledge of migration strategies, including lift and shift, infrastructure and application modernization
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Broad knowledge of on-premises IT, including bare metal, virtualization (e.g., VMware), networking, security, storage, and backup

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-premises to cloud engagements with significant business, technical, and cost-modeling requirements to accelerate cloud adoption
  • Direct discovery and data collection to understand the customer’s current environment
  • Build and refine cost models that cover services, consumption, funding, hardware buyback, labour, TCO, and ROI
  • Facilitate discussions on technical challenges, business goals, success metrics, and financial drivers to shape a cloud strategy
  • Present clear, compelling business cases to stakeholders across C-suite, IT, and business units
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects and sales teams to develop proposals, identify service opportunities, and support deal wins
  • Provide thought leadership on cloud adoption, technology evolution, and business value through AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Support teammates through coaching, gap-filling, and contributions to large engagements
  • Partner across pre-sales, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, and AWS / Azure / GCP account teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Host immersion days, lead ideation sessions, and build small proofs of concept (POCs) to drive customer momentum
