About The Position

Axoft is building the most advanced infrastructure for implantable brain-machine interfaces. Our mission is to enable long-term stable and ultra-high bandwidth communication with the brain, opening new therapies and treatments against neurological disorders and physical disabilities. We have bridged the gap between electronic and biological materials to create the softest, nanofabricated brain implants in the world. Entry-level generalist role with broad scope across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, application development, and IT security. You’ll receive strong mentorship and grow quickly across disciplines while contributing to Axoft’s platform and clinical trial infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Fluent in Git-based workflows.
  • 2–3+ years with Python
  • Background spanning firmware, embedded Linux, application/UI, and cloud development.
  • Hands-on with CI/CD systems and production cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiar with securing Linux and macOS environments.
  • Has built desktop and web applications.
  • Comfortable with AI-assisted or agent-driven development workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Artifact management — JFrog or similar.
  • Static analysis — SonarQube Cloud or similar.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code — Terraform or similar
  • Containerization — Docker.
  • Embedded Linux firmware — Zephyr, Yocto, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software and firmware.
  • Improve build and release processes for desktop, cloud, and embedded targets.
  • Manage artifact storage, package management, and dependency tracking.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure, deployment workflows, and system reliability.
  • Develop infrastructure automation and operational tooling.
  • Set up, maintain, and secure servers and network infrastructure.
  • Support model deployment and analysis pipelines alongside the data science team.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and performance tracking across services.
  • Support incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Monitor and remediate security vulnerabilities; represent cybersecurity needs across the org.
  • Build web and desktop UIs using AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Develop firmware solutions and hardware-software interfaces.
  • Maintain testing environments for cloud services, IoT devices, and clinician applications.
  • Partner with Systems, Software, Hardware, Data Science, and Quality across multiple global clinical trials.
  • Support third-party integrations and contribute to platform architecture decisions.
