About The Position

This position is with Henkel's Adhesive Technologies business unit, specifically within the Consumer Goods Adhesives (APC) group. The role focuses on the Packaging & Labeling team. The Associate Application Engineer will manage assigned internal and external technical requests and projects, conduct laboratory testing, analyze results, and communicate findings to support product recommendations and troubleshooting. This is a lab-based role requiring collaboration with field and sales teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 0-3 years of technical industry experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational, project management, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, with strong analytical, problem solving, and mechanical skills.
• Aptitude and ability to safely operate various adhesive applications equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with adhesives or packaging and labeling markets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned internal and external technical requests and projects for the Packaging & Labeling team.
• Plan and perform laboratory testing, including physical property measurements and performance testing, to support product recommendations, troubleshooting, and new product validation.
• Organize and analyze lab results using internal databases and digital tools, interpreting data to make product recommendations and develop solutions.
• Prepare clear laboratory reports, technical presentations, and customer correspondence.
• Support and communicate with the APC Application Engineering Field Team and Sales Team using digital tools.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, ensure equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and safety checked.
• Support laboratory organization, cleanliness, and safe operating practices.
• Support and conduct customer lab demonstrations using application equipment.
