About The Position

Designs and develops software applications of limited complexity. Performs coding, configuration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. Supports the continuous improvement road map for information technology applications. Maintains project files in accordance with policies and procedures. Researches industry trends through publications, discussions, professional organizations, and by attending instructional presentations and workshops.

Requirements

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
• Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with project and product delivery methodology.
• Certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Develops and documents technical design specifications to meet business needs identified through application requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects.
• Builds software enhancements through configuration and/or development to meet desired functionalities.
• Performs unit testing on application enhancements prior to moving coding and configuration through the quality assurance process.
• Assists in the development and definition of test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Supports the continuous improvement road map for information technology applications.
• Maintains project files in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Researches industry trends through publications, discussions, professional organizations, and by attending instructional presentations and workshops.
