About The Position

Eversource is seeking an Associate Analyst, Transmission in Westwood, MA. This role involves participating in the planning and review of regulatory filings and analyses related to transmission, including preparation, filing, and post-filing activities. The individual will interface with ISO-New England and coordinate required filings. Key activities include supporting transmission's business plans, ensuring proper reporting of NERC and ISO-NE requirements with transmission operations, and coordinating reporting on the group's quarterly key performance indicator goals. The role also includes participation in special projects related to regulatory filings for transmission. The Associate Analyst will work closely with operations, planning, and engineering to ensure timely filing of transmission's compliance filings. This position provides analytical support to the Project Manager-Transmission Compliance, coordinates informational gathering for NERC and ISO-NE filings, and maintains records of applicable rules and regulations. The role also involves overseeing and providing input to regulatory filings, preparing presentations for management and external audiences, managing the group’s calendar of filings and meetings, and building networks across the organization. The individual must understand financial modeling, work effectively under pressure, and possess strong analytical reasoning skills.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with utility industry preferred.
  • Database management expertise.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting is desirable.
  • Demonstrates competency and proficiency in oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to apply knowledge to solve problems.
  • Responds promptly and deals constructively with other employees.
  • Understanding of electrical power engineering principals desirable.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field; or related combination of education and experience.
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years related experience is required for the associate level.
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • Must possess an understanding of financial modeling and work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning and/or review of regulatory filings and analyses associated with the preparation, filing and post-filing activities for the transmission.
  • Interface with ISO-New England and participate in the coordination of required filings.
  • Coordinate and support transmission’s business plans.
  • Work with transmission operations to ensure proper reporting of on NERC and ISO-NE requirements.
  • Coordinate reporting on the groups quarterly key performance indicator goals.
  • Participate in special projects, including the planning, and/or review of regulatory filings associated with the preparation, filing and post-filling activities for transmission.
  • Work closely with operations, planning and engineering in order to facilitate the timely filing of transmission’s compliance filings.
  • Provide analytical support to the Project Manager-Transmission Compliance.
  • Coordinate the necessary informational gathering in support of all NERC and ISO-NE related filings.
  • Maintain up to date records of all applicable rules and regulations to which transmission is subject.
  • Ensure comprehensive accurate records are maintained of all past filings.
  • Oversee and provide input to regulatory filings for transmission.
  • Provide support to the group in the preparation of presentations to management, regulators and other external audiences.
  • Manage the group’s calendar of filings, external meeting and all NERC reporting’s requirements.
  • Build and maintain networks of key contacts across the organization facilitating organizational efficiencies.
  • Prepare and circulate summaries of the group’s internal interaction to transmission management.
  • Respond to emergency situations as part of an Emergency Restoration assignment.
